As a Leaf fan I don't mind the concept of the trade. Leafs kinda get futures and cap space. If Mitchell was replaced in the trade by the higher ceiling RHD Boqvist then I would consider it (though my fellow Leaf fans think I'm crazy)

I think Marner will stay put, They going to want too much value for him. Puts up great points in the regular season but to date hasn't been able to bring it in the playoffs of NHL.

People always point to Marner's playoff stats and it's fine if we are discussing playoff teams, specifically ones making it there BUT, there are plenty of teams that don't make the playoffs every season.

I'm sure one of those non playoff teams would love to have Marner on their team.
