Surprise Eichel Team

Created by: Caboose119z
Team: 2021-22 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 17, 2021
Published: Jun. 17, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
C - Larkin
A - Gagner
A - DeKeyser

I believe this is an overpayment and don't think the Wings are truly in on Eichel.
Is Zegras and 3rd overall considered enough from the Ducks?

Detroit should not be in on Eichel, makes no sense for where we are in the rebuild.

If this would be the price of acquiring Eichel then I wouldn't make the deal. Also Anaheim won't trade Zegras.

It's not an overpayment, but I've seen much worse offers.

Not even close to enough. How is this an overpayment?

Raymond - top tier prospect
Veleno - middle of the road prospect
Panik - worthless in this context
1st - non-NHL ready player that won't be able to replace Eichel.

Trade for Eichel looks like Larkin and a 1st or Seider +

Anahiem wouldnt trade Zegras for Dubois, they said nothing about Eichel. Eichel > Dubois

I would assume Buffalo wouldn't accept a 1 for 1 deal for Zegras. Zegras plus assets no longer makes sense for Anaheim and obviously the deal needs to make sense for both sides. This is the same reason Detroit wouldn't make this suggested trade because it wouldn't make sense.

When Eichel was 20 he had played 142 games and had 113 points. Zegras is 100 points shy. Zegras isnt on Eichels level. People need to stop over hyping prospects and disrespecting Eichel just because they think its funny to screw the Sabres.

This would be a good offer IMO, I’d prefer (as a Wings fan) to trade Berggeren, a D prospect (mcissac or Viro maybe), and a 2nd rounder over Raymond but that’s me. The problem is Buf fans on here will never consider a Eichel trade even though he’s all but gone, so you won’t get a accurate assessment of what a fair offer is.

Berggren, McIsaac, and a 2nd rounder for Eichel? LOL

No; Veleno, Berg, Mcissac, 1st, & 2nd. I was just replacing Raymond in his orig trade

100% this. Detroit doesn't have enough high quality assets to land Eichel, and doesn't have the NHL-ready talent to support him if he arrived. Trading anything at all for Eichel would put Detroit stuck as a playoff bubble team at best.

I think you replace Panik with WSH 2021 1st or maybe conditional 2022 2nd that could become a first and it might work

Still not even remotely close for Eichel.

Yea, prob right. That’s why I think the wings are not in the Eichel sweepstakes; the cost is too high

Correct - No chance they end up with Eichel.
