  8. 2021 2nd round pick (ANA)
  9. 2022 1st round pick (ANA)
  10. 2022 2nd round pick (ANA)
Additional Details:
I don’t think they would be interested in moving Zegras or Drysdale, but if they can get a guy like Comtois mixed with another guy like Steel then I think it would work out for them.
2.
BUF
  1. Bjorkstrand, Oliver

  10. 2022 1st round pick (CBJ)
  11. 2022 2nd round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
I don’t think Buffalo would be looking at a guy like Laine, but he could be the main piece in the deal. If Buffalo tried something along the lines of
Bjorkstrand
Chinakhov
TFW/Texier
2022 1st

Then I think they should take it.

I also think Buffalo would be looking towards picks for the 2022 draft considering it’s the deeper one out of this year and next year.

  5. Vilardi, Gabriel
  6. Walker, Sean
  7. 2022 1st round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
I think Byfield is off the table, but if LA makes a package with Vilardi in it, then they may be able to work something out.

I was hesitant to include Kakko on this list considering Gallant’s love for analytics (Kakko is going to be Landeskog 2.0 imo), but that’s what it would cost for Eichel. Maybe Kakko, Lundkvist, and a 1st or a combination of other prospects.

No chance Vegas goes after Eichel, but we thought the same about Pacioretty and Pietrangelo. 99% change Vegas doesn’t move Theodore but I threw him in there anyways.

DISCLAIMER: THESE ARE NOT REAL TRADES, THIS IS JUST A LIST OF PLAYERS/PICKS I THINK WILL BE INVOLVED IN A JACK EICHEL TRADE. ANY COMBINATION OF THESE PLAYERS CAN BE MADE. ONCE AGAIN I EMPHASIZE THESE ARE NOT TRADE OFFERS, THESE ARE JUST LISTS OF ASSETS THAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED ALONG WITH A FEW OTHER PIECES.

The Rangers just shouldn't even be considered at this point. Adams stated he would prefer to send him west, the Rangers are already fighting a up hill battle and now refuse to give up the only players Buffalo would have interest in

A Minnesota deal would include ONE of the Fiala, Rossi, Boldy, Ek tier. The rest would be made up of maybe PIT 1st and some lesser pieces.

Shea Theodore is 100% not being moved. Pretty Damon close to untouchable on him, and Krebs would be in the same category. Plus for Vegas if they trade for Eichel it will be to reunite him with Tuch and hope they find their touch again, not trade Tuch away for him.

Yea that’s why I included there’s no way they’re moving him, I just threw him in.

People are going to be surprised when the see the return for Eichel. And If Adams really did say he'd prefer to move him out west, that's the dumbest thing he could have done cause it lowers his value even more but lessening the amount of teams to make a deal with. The Eichel return isn't going to be the "equivalent of 4 1st round picks" that was the reported ask already.. remember that's just the ask. You start negotiating high, and settle under it. It's likely going to be 1 top prospect or young high NHL impact player, a guaranteed 1st, possibly a 2nd guaranteed 1st or at very least a conditional 1st, and another prospect that could have a high ceiling but is less likely to hit it but needs some work. The best comparable to this deal is going to be the Erik Karlsson trade. It's not going to be as high as people think.

You can't say I want a player of Eichel's caliber but I'm not giving up my top prospects. If you want that player everything has to be on the table.

"The Wild won’t be in on Eichel but it would probably cost a mix of a few of these prospects and draft picks if they were."

We will be in on Eichel.

Guessing our offer will be something like one of Fiala/Boldy/Rossi (probably Fiala since he's going to want to get paid), Dumba to make the cap/expansion work (unless he's traded elsewhere), a 1st round pick, and probably a B tier prospect like Khovanov or Beckman. I could see us floating Greenway as well. I'm surprised Kahkonen hasn't been involved more on Capfriendly Eichel trades, we'll have to figure something out with our goalies for expansion since he is not exempt, Talbot was the clear starter for us most of the year, and I think I saw an insider say Buffalo was looking for goaltender help (could be wrong on that). I would be surprised if we moved him though.

And Karlsson signed an extension with San Jose, which was the Sharks primary intention after acquiring him. So the contract length debate is kinda thrown out the door.

It also wasn't a "massive return" at the time, & many people thought San Jose got off light in the deal. Sens got:
Middle 6 young NHL player (Tierney)
Middle age bottom 4 defenceman (Demelo)
Rights to a top prospect (Norris)
        A guaranteed 1st (Stuetzle)
A prospect that has a high ceiling but needed a lot of work (Balcers)
A 2nd round pick (later traded to Carolina)
A conditional 1st (conditions never met so pick was never received by Ottawa)

So outta all of that, the only real valuable piece they got was Stuetzle. & at the time of the trade the 1st wasn't highly valued because San Jose was seen as a top team, they just **** the bed that year so Ottawa got lucky.

That's by no means a "massive return" when they really only got 1 highly valued piece.

Actually Karlsson didn't resign until after the season was over and SJS grossly overpaid to retain his services. So the contract length debate is definitely not thrown out the door.

If Eichel was getting paid 13 million/season (what he'd likely get as a UFA on the open market) then you could take the length out of the equation but he isn't.

Eichel should get at least double if not triple what the Sens got for Karlsson.

I'm not even a Sabres fan. I'm a Sens fan...

An Eichel trade STARTS with a teams BEST young players/prospects

        Otherwise, they aren’t getting him
Sabres aren’t gonna “sell low” on him
And MANY teams are interested in Eichel,
so there’s gonna be a bidding war

S'cuse me? $13M? Are you insane? Eichel isn't even worth his $10M cap hit right now, and barely worth it when healthy.

The best player in the NHL, Connor McDavid, makes $12.5M a year and you think Eichel would get $500k more than that as a ufa?

I don't even know what to say at this point.... yeesh.🤦‍♂️

McDavid turned down 13.6M to help the team when the cap was lower. Eichel would definitely get 13M on the open market. That's what SJS offered Tavares. Is Tavares that much better than Eichel?

By all accounts there are only 6, and 2 have already dropped out.

If teams have dropped out on Eichel you better bet the price is high... very high.

        Lololololol
Just bc that ONE article only names a handful of teams,
it doesn’t mean that more aren’t involved
And the writer was just making assumptions based off the reports fro other ppl who are actually somewhat connected
None of that is based of what HE is hearing from team sources

        You said “by all accounts”
That implies much more than JUST ONE
Don’t bother me anymore with your nonsense
        We’ll see what happens

Wow, you're really mature aren't you. What are you 12?

Forgive my 2 min Google search to grab the 1st article that was roughly a day old that supports the knowledge so I can move on with my day.

My apologies, mi'lord. I'll do better next time, I swear. 🙄

Being sarcastic doesn't mean immaturity. Learn the difference, and grow up.
