I loved this ACGM. It was very realistic and didn't try to sign Dougie Hamilton. One question I have is why did you protect Couture? He's good now but he's getting payed 8 mil until he's 38 and he's already showing a bit of regression. Because of this, I don't think Seattle will take him and you can save Donato for free if you leave Couture unprotected. Do you think this will happen or am I wrong about Couture's impact on the team?

I know it's probably a "to any team that wants him" kind of trade, but Dallas doesn't really have the additional cap space to spend on a guy that isn't going to crack their top-6. If it was a league minimum contract, it may be someone we could hold on to, but they aren't paying $2M+ on a press box player.

Couture dealt with a plethora of injuries this year, when he was healthy at the beginning, he was one of the best players in the league. He is also the captain. Very high chance he would be chosen if he is exposed.

I think the optics of Wilson leaving his captain unprotected after signing him for so long just looks really bad. I think Seattle would hardly consider 48 mil more for Couture, but it looks so bad for DW to do it.

Sasha really should be a wing. For the Cuda he was like 1.5 ppg as a winger (although the power play was kinda going off so it's inflated) so I think he should continue in that position. Not sure who would play PK if True is out of the lineup, I don't want Couture playing it anymore

Sasha could play PK once he plays full time NHL, he has become very responsible defensively. Defenitely I see what you mean with the Wing -> Center thing, just don't see True or Blich ever playing full-time NHL.
