You have mentioned this on a few threads that you essentially want back the player you are trading (Tkachuk for first line Center). Can you please explain why that helps the team moving forward? If you want to get better in the future, you want future players hence one of florida's top forward prospects and two selections. I can see maybe getting a top center prospect though like Lundell but I would be confident he is 'untouchable' for Florida.

Philly passes hard on that. Philly doesn't need another LD and you aren't getting that big return for Giordano.

Flames just hired Sutter and signed him to a 3 year deal, they will not be rebuilding for at least a couple years.

I don’t think the Pens do that deal.

Jarry is still just 26 years old, was 25-9 and was a division winning goalie. Was an All-Star the year b4. And he has a good contract.

The Pens organization is talking about signing a vet back up-1B goalie. Not trading Jarry.

Philly was a disaster last year defensively. You might have left shot D's but ya'll need left shot D's!

To be blunt, that Tkachuk trade belongs in the discard bin behind a planned parenthood. What it needs is less Tkachuk, it's the only way to save it.

Giordano is overpaid and regressing so his value isn't worth much. Ghost is overpaid, but he still got good offensive production so dumping him probably costs around a 2nd rounder. So lets say 1st rounder = 2 2nd rounders, we are basically giving up 1 1/2 first rounders for Giordano who we don't even need.

This is likely Treliving's last chance as a GM. Rightly or wrongly, the moves the Flames make this offseason will be geared toward getting this team into the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The earliest I see a rebuild being considered would be after the 21/22 season, because if the Flames miss the playoffs, they are likely looking for a new GM. The new GM would have some runway to build this team back up again, Treliving doesn't likely have that much leash left as the team has been extremely inconsistent since 14/15

Giordano is still a top pair defenseman and his supposed regression was because Geoff Ward was a terrible coach, once Sutter showed up Gio started playing like his old self. Ghost might produce offensively, but if he's in your top 4 your team is going to bleed chances against. Giordano is easily worth a 1st and you'll have to pay soemone t take Ghost and that abomination of a contract.

That’s literally highway robbery of the pens. Absolutely not even close. You want the pens to take Markstrom then Calgary should be adding lol. Markstrom ain’t worth a top prospect that’s nhl ready, a decent goalie prospect, a 2nd, and a starting goalie that’s better than Markstrom and on a better contract. No thanks

Just because Girodano works under Sutter's system doesn't mean he will work with Vigneault's as well. Philly isn't paying a 1st rounder for a 6,75 mil "first pair defenseman" whos 37 and a pending UFA when we already have Provorov on LD. Max I would give for Giordano is a 2nd rounder considering all those factors.

Just because you have a #1 dman, you dont turn away another one! There just isnt that many players that can play top pair being shopped regardless of age.

That is a good question! I would be loathe to deal him but probably a 2nd and decent prospect (maybe more?)
