Description
If you get Eichel, might as well fill the rest of the holes on the team to make a deep run.

Personally, I don't think the hawks are going to be making any of these moves. I think it's just a lot of offseason noise.

Chicago scares the hell out of me in the Eichel sweepstakes. I feel like they have all the pieces that make sense for Buffalo to get a deal done

And I still feel like it won't happen. Stan has shown to have some stones before, but the Kings have all the assets the end of the day.

Idk if that gets Hampus and Manson, although Im not sure how much his stock has changed over the last year. Regardless, I think there are RD we could sign to adequately fill in behind Murphy while Mitchell takes some steps forward without having to trade for one.

Yeah it'd really suck to get one of the best young centers in the game.

We do indeed but like the original post says, its all off season noise. We have asked BUF what their ask is on Eichel which is normal. I don't see this one having legs.

I also don't think we would pull the trigger and give up the futures and Dach which is supposedly what BUF have asked for.

They should though. Idk if I'd give dach AND boqvist. But Dach should not be the deal breaker if we're getting a top 10 center in the league. Odds of dach being as good as eichel are slim.

No doubt he’s good, very good, but there’s risk. Does he need surgery? Are there attitude issues (I don’t think so, but can’t say for sure).

If the price is right I’m all in. But for something like Dach, Reichel, Boqvist and #11 that’s just too much. Dach and #11 is fine.

I'd do dach, reichel, #11, and lesser piece. That'd be my max offer if I'm the hawks. I think the injury isn't as bad as it's being made out to be. I think it would've been taken care of already if eichel wanted to be there

I’d rather the Hawks go after Reinhart, he’s more realistic and fits into the current plans better. Sure, Eichel is the better forward but from a cost/benefit perspective I say Reinhart is the choice.

I would be okay with a Dach, 21' 1st + but as soon as they want to include Reichel, Boq or 22' 1st, my views change.

Discussing on Twitter one concept I seen was:

Chicago Blackhawks Receive:

-J.Eichel
-R.Ristolainen

Buffalo Sabres Receive:

-K.Dach
-D.Strome
-I.Mitchell
-C.DeHaan
-21 1st

I think another prospect/pick would be needed to make the deal work but I'm not completely opposed to it.

I'd be happy with that deal.

I mean it's 11th overall, which probably holds more value than 2 late 1sts at the deadline. The big piece is Lindholm as he is going to take a lot of the weight off Keith's shoulders. Manson is there to solidify the top 4 while Mitchell develops. I don't think Mitchell is ready for 20+ a night consistently at this point.

I wouldn't mind it at the right price but...... the Kings and Rangers both have better packages they could offer. My gut says LA, the Rangers should stick with what they have. I don't think Anaheim brings him in, then they have to look at extending Lindholm, Manson, and Rakell after hearing their names in trade rumors the past 2 seasons. That's not an easy situation to handle. Of course, I could be wrong.

I also believe if Toews is coming back, he's going to want to play on a contending/good team and rightfully so. For all the contributions he made in Chicago, that's a no brainer. Add to the team and give Toews something worth coming back to. In that regard, the rumors make perfect sense.

Could the hawks make the best offer? Maybe, I'm sure Cozens would love to play with Dach for the next decade. But LA could easily offer Turcotte, Kaliyev, and Kupari and not even flinch. That's an offer the hawks couldn't/shouldn't match in my opinion.

I would hate to move Reichel, especially as he's just starting an ELC and looks very close to being NHL ready. He's just such a cost controlled asset for 3 seasons that would put the hawks right back into cap hell. Dach and 11 is an idea, but as I mentioned in the original description, I can't see them trading everything for Eichel when there's holes throughout the lineup. Eichel may very well make this team a playoff team, but leaving the defense as is, without a true #1, has 1st round exit written all over it.
