If I'm OTT, I don't do this. They have a good thing going and Eichel will screw it all up (IMO). They're better off going Reinhart / M Tkachuk or another impact maker that's young and healthy.

I think Ottawa says no to this trade anyways because they are getting a 1C for a future top line player, a 1/2 C, and a pick that will likely end up being an elite goaltender (Wallstedt), or a future top 6 forward (Johnson or McTavish).

I agree that Ottawa is going in the right direction with their respective rebuild though I think you are missing the mark on Eichel. Eichel is still one of the top Centers in the game and any team would improve and benefit their organization if they acquired a talent like Eichel. He may not be what you want for your team(s) but to say he would screw your team up is a bit far fetched IMO.
