Seattle can just draft ZAR without taking Zucker… you have to entice them to take that contract with something other than a player they can just draft for free

It is if you're asking Detroit.

Pettersson is a bad fit in the Detroit rebuild.

We have 6 very good prospects on LD (4 newly signed + 2 unsigned) and are looking for veteran help for a year or two until the prospects mature. Such players can be found in FA (Oleksiak, del Zotto) without giving up picks, or via cap dump deals (Gardiner, Gostisbehere) that gains picks instead of losing them.

The only way you will trade Pettersson to Detroit is by paying for it, a lot.
