Description
ONLY SIGNING ONE OF THE VETERAN GOALIES I PUT ON THE LTIR (obviously), a lot of uncertainty with them as well since Rinne could retire and Smith might not be available since he was good for Edmonton but someone will be available to be the 1b to Swayman between the start of the season and until Rask comes back

Not sure if I'm off on the Martinez and Gusev contract or not, let me know

We also might have more cap space to work with if Moore is on LTIR instead of being buried in the AHL, if thats the case we can improve the wings by bringing in another UFA probably

    Additional Details:
To any team prior to the Expansion draft so we don't lose Ritchie for nothing (assuming we protect Frederic since we extended him)

Ritchie was good for nearly a 40 point and 22 goal pace in an 82 game season and I doubt we qualify Kase due to his injury issues so he'd be a UFA but someone might want to take a swing on him and his rights

Gusev and Ryan are not worth signing.

Reimer or Raanta would be an ok option as a temp.

Gusev nearly led his nhl team in scoring ffs

He had a down year (every one does) but was solid

He has a career 4.0 corsi rel % (elite)

And uh, yeah, almost led his NHL team in scoring

I'm just going to repeat that because folks ignore it

Oh he also almost led his NHL team in scoring

Anyhow many GMs are analytically engaged now

So they'll have his elite Corsi and superb scoring

His primary pts/60 over so far is 1.5 (good 2nd liner)

Yes, he's been so good for his team that they terminated his contract mid year...

    Gusev is very, very talented.
But may be a KHLer next year.

He got better and better in 2019-20 and by the end of that year was one our better wingers.
Then Lindy Ruff came in and he never seemed to pick up new system, confidence waned, he found himself scratched.

Hynes liked to hold centers back...let wings roam wild (partly how Hall put up MVP year).
    Naserdine did mostly the same.
Ruff likes everyone joining the rush (centers and d-men too).
Gusev thrived with Bratt on opposite wing (and Zacha playing more withdrawn center role.)
Goose and Jesper could zig-zag, dipsy-doodle, deke-and-dangle...and they'd still be first two guys up the ice.
Once Lindy arrived and we have 3-4 guys all going straight-line to net, Gusev became fish-out-of-water.

Not sure what he looked like in Florida.
I'm sure he could find success somewhere in NHL (maybe Nashville).
But I think it will depend on right system and right linemates.
