Winnipeg has no need for Girgensons, so that would be a no.

Jets would draft Lambos if he is available at #17.

Trading Olofsson for Garland is a lateral move that doesn’t make us better. Why in the hell would we add to such a deal? Forget the Winnipeg trade, and take the second round pick out of the Columbus trade. You’re already pretty much giving away Ristolainen, of course the Risto haters out there would tell you that’s the point of the trade.

One step forward, three steps back . . .

    I'll never understand the rationale.

Garland drives play a lot better than Olofsson. Olofsson is the pure shooter but Garland does it all.

I'm a Risto hater but this is the best we can do in my opinion. Even if people give hime value.

The Winnipeg trade is literally on draft day to move up for Cossa.

Buffalo doesn’t need another goalie prospect, they already have Portillo behind UPL. I would rather sign a college free agent like Dryden McKay next year anyway. I like Garland but I’m not overpaying for him. I also would not trade away Girgensons and I doubt the Sabres would either. They gave him a multi year contract because they see him as a piece of the core they wanted to hang onto. I doubt one year that he didn’t even play in changes their mind much on that. If anything suffering through the play of Cody Eakin enforces his value.

I'd argue that suffering through Cody Eakin should make them eager to shed bottom 6 forwards making more than the league minimum.

This playoffs might push the narrative of 1st round goalies... although I disagree...

Garland is the real deal in my opinion and worth every penny up to 6 million per year.
