The Devils are talking to Philadelphia about Gostisbehere and to Buffalo about Risto.
That does not mean they are going to pay anything meaningful for either.

Look at what Flyers fans are expecting back for Ghost.

Tough to put into words how awful that trade is for NJ. That deal is about as likely as an Eichel for Subban one for one

Undercover Sabres fan?

Trade #1: Rather have Krebs than Glass, Glass has been a borderline bust thus far where as Krebs has shown flashes. Not a horrid trade with that fix, but not great either. Feels light primarily due to the value of VGK's 1sts being lackluster.
Trade #2: No real interest in acquiring a Dman from Pittsburgh, give us DeSmith and a 2nd for a half retained Fleury.
Trade #3: Worst trade here, a glorified 2nd a goalie with 1 year to UFA for Reinhart. Just scrap it.
Trade #4: I think Risto is worth a bit more than most but a mid to high 2nd is about where he'd land. That is nowhere near enough to move from 30/31 to 4 even with the tail-end 3rd added.

I highly doubt any draft picks play this year and Quinn needs one more year in Rochester.

This roster would have difficulty getting to 60 pts

Sabres with Eichel 0 playoffs
Vegas 4 years without Eichel/with Tuch 4 playoff appearances.

Teams make/win the playoffs. Individuals don't.

Horrible trade for a guy you don't know if he can pass a physical or even play next year....

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe examine your views of Risto and check out any analytics on him.
