What kinda crazy lineup in this? No Fleury trade? No Hagelin trade? And a Fehr trade is mandatory. To post a 2017/18 Pens roster, those three players must go...so the Pens have 11.75m to spend on UFAs.

Just curious, what forward/defensemen did you choose to protect. Considering you still have all of Letang/Maatta/Dumolin/Schultz, did you go 4/4 on the protection?

Everyone told us we'd never trade Scuderi too. Ask JR how that went.

    answer your question i did
    crosby
    malkin
    kessel
    Hornqvist

    (all the nct or nmc)

    then

    Letang
    Maatta
    Dumolin
    Schultz

    obviously murray

also jr took a salary dump from chi....daily wasnt making their roster and they saved 1m by taking scuds

so unless you are willing to take a loss for fluery ,which is the only way u trade him, then hes a buyout

Good list. It's hard to tell with the Pens. Part of me thinks they will do 7/3 to protect their forward depth, keeping Hagelin/Rust/Sundqvist protected, but Schultz's play is really making it hard not to ensure he's protected as well.

Buying out Fleury obviously isn't ideal but is still better than losing Murray for nothing. I still think there could be a trade to be made, nothing with any significant value back to the Pens, but either way. Flower could also waive his NMC and be exposed to Vegas if we can't trade him. Not sure if he would or not but just another option there.

honestly people get very upset about this fluery topic but the harsh reality of it is hes a goalie and that makes it harder to take a below average to bad contract esp when hes 32years old...(and playing his worst hockey) pens will more than likely have to buy him out or trade him for a goalie that saves them like 1.5 m.....but what people forget is that murray needs a solid back up look at the teams like boston or mont that dont have good backups...their starters get shelled jarry isnt a vet backup you need.....
