not what I think is best for the team but what I think sweeny ends up doing.

Debrusk and Ritchie will most likely stay as they are young and sweeny does not wanna give up on more young talent early.
he will probably pay seattle to not take lauzon as he seems to like him a lot bruce will prolly but lauzon on the 3rd pairing with a veteran shutdown defensmen like Oleksiak and let him grow we will also probably have a few changes in the bottom 6 as well as possibly another top 6 winger

As a Preds fan, I'd rather have the picks and Kase as part of the return for Ekholm, as opposed to Nichushkin.

No, he will not add two top4 defenseman and it's unlikely they go with Swayman/Vladar in net.

I don't think Detroit would be intrested unless you offered both Vaakainen and Zboril.

There's no roster spot available for Wagner and Moore is a liability not an asset.

Coleman and oleksiak both get more (but theres a lot of cap space so no worries) and thats a scary set of goalies to go in with. I mean im having this feeling we're going to see a shesterkin type season from swayman (comes in for 10 games and is absolutely dominant next season he plays the whole thing and does ok) and vladar i am not sold on as an nhl caliber backup yet bc he had (10?) solid games. So what happens if rask takes a long time to come back or he doesnt end up coming back at all or hes not great when he does come back, youre a little screwed goaliewise. With so many question marks with rask, and knowing you wont have him for around half the season, why not sign a goalie with all that cap space.

its the opposite neely talked ab the defense getting better sweeny also said that its possible we see vladar/swayman

Kase doesnt have any value as he been injury prone for multiple seasons at at this rate who knows if he even gets a QO from the bruins. 2.6m QO is a lot for a guy who hasn't played even a fraction of a season the past 2 years

Nuke is a very important piece to the avs identity in the middle 6 and a guy they will probably be protecting in the XD. SO moving him for draft picks and an injury prone player who really isnt an upgrade. Dont see the temptation from he Avs side of things here

Defense getting better doesn't mean he'll add two top4 D. Best-case, they add one top4 and another 7th, especially if they lose of of Zboril/Clifton/Lauzon to Seattle. For the Swayman/Vladar, it's possible but not guaranteed. It's risky to go with that tandem if they're going to (try to) contend.

semantics. He hasn't been healthy his whole career, and playing what 65% of the games last year isnt really that much of an endorsement.
He really doesnt hold value, if at all, based on that.
