Description

Griess taken in expansion draft. Also have the cap room next year to sign a player like Courturier, Jones, Parayko, Barkov. All signings obviously after expansion draft. Maybe a first round exit first year, but with other major free agent signings the following season, and additions of Raymond and progression of Meider this could be a serious contender.

Asking a lot of players to take less money to sign with Detroit. Colorado will happily take Landeskog and Grubauer for a combined 12.5 mil a year....

Yzerman built the Lightning through the draft and trading for young prospects, it's hard to imagine that he will stray away from what worked and go full UFA with the Wings
