Love the trades. Big fan of both Graves and Drouin...although Drouin should not be paired with Jack

Did that bc I think their games would compliment each other well. Chiarot would be an excellent pickup for this team too. Need some vets on back end

Not sure I like the Habs deal.
Drouin has been a bit of a mystery to me...and Chiarot is a rental.
Maybe they can make Romanov available?

Not a chance they trade him. Super young with ton of potential. We need some vets. Chiarot has ton of experience and only 30

I like Chiarot, but for 1-year I would think Habs need him more than we would.

MTL might move him just to get assets so they don't lose him for anything to SEA. Plus I think they will chase a PMD to add to the blueline so getting Chiarot off the books helps. Honestly if he plays top 4 mins instead of top 2 hes awesome, he's just overused imo

Will Butcher will be better as puck-mover, but not by much.
He is more of offensive-zone / PP specialist.
Not a puck-rushing / transition d-man.
HabsFuture liked this.

I think you undervalue how much MTL thinks Chariot means to their success. Fair or not this trade would not get him. Also, after Vegas expansion Bergevin said there was no winning trading to influence expansion picks. Best thing is just protect who you can and let the chips fall as they will. I think he is banking on Allen being taken.

Honestly I don't think they want a body back unless it's someone who doesn't need to be protected, they probably would just take a pick
