Description
How would y'all feel with Landeskog as the 2nd line center?

He was a natural center for his whole career until he came into the NHL, where he's mainly been playing LW. But for the last couple of seasons, he's played more and more center. Really good at faceoffs.

hes not a centre, and never has played centre.

and Georgiev for a 1st. that is just a gross overpayment for a medicore back up goalie.

Rangers decline the Edmonton and Vegas trades (massive overpay by the Rangers in the Vegas trade). Colorado declines the Georgiev trade. Landeskog signs for more than that or takes in a better tax advantage state.

Great player but he's essentially UFA with him being 26. Acquisition price is high and his salary will be too, may as well swing at guys like Hall/Landeskog/Hoffman/Hyman or trade for someone with less acquisition cost like Palat before you throw a mid-round 1st and an A- prospect.

why was Kaut listed as a Centre for 2 years despite being a RW his whole career? Its an error.

Landy takes faceoffs for set plays in the offensive zone or taking them on mackinnons weak side. Faceoffs doesn't mean hes a centre and NHL.com lists him as a duel position, which I believe cap friendly datamines that out into their wesbite.. Its bc they dont know what they are doing. He has never lined up to play a game as a centreman, ever

Col has a back up and they aren't giving up a 1st rounder for a goalie who wasn't even a good backup last year.

Landeskog isn't a center and putting him there is hilariously dumb, he will also cost a lot more. Just get Eichel at that point

Because Col always has players take the FO on their strong side, he never actually plays any center

If Landeskog never played center in his entire career, then yeah, it'd be a hilariously dumb move. But as I said, he played center his entire career until he joined the NHL. And I think given his style of play and that he's good at faceoffs, that he'd work out fine as a center.

The Georgiev trade is just a dream scenario, really. From what I've read, Drury wants a 1st round pick in return. While I don't think that's gonna happen, you never really know.

He played center from the time he started playing hockey until he joined the NHL at 19 years of age. He's not what you would call a "Natural Winger" per se. And not to mention the fact that in Gallant's system pretty much anyone can play center.
