Probably be Holl taken as there will probably be more LD exposed to Seattle

My thoughts exactly. Plus Holl is a tad better than Dermott.

Highly doubt that Holl is taken over Dermott. So many factors point to Dermott being the more valuable option to take.
1. Age
2. Contract value
3. The whole "right handed" thing doesn't matter when Dermott can still play the right side
4. Ron Francis has liked Dermott for awhile
5. Dermott would have more trade value if they wanted to flip him earlier

Holl is a #5 d-man that's carried by his partner. Age age 30 and with a M-NTC that won't be very enticing to Seattle. Wouldn't be shocked to see Toronto make a small side deal to guarantee Seattle takes Dermott since they already have his replacement in the system. But in all likelihood, Dermott is taken before Holl is even considered.

I personally would be more content with Holl in the top4 role over Dermott playing his off side there. Also Dermott's also 25 when the next year begins so I don't see much of development going with him, he's more or less peaked.

Contract value is even. Holl is a tad better, they have similar term and Holl earns $500k more.

Also I dunno where you base Francis liking Dermott or Dermott having more trade value over Holl, but these are moot points. If Dermott (or Holl for that matter) had any significant trade value, Dubas would've moved them before losing them for free.

They will take Holl, decent cap hit and a RHS that can fill in for top 4 (if they also get better RD options).

I think Dermott may still be moved, my guess is to the Islanders for Bellows or something (calling it now). Toronto needs another forward to protect (unless they protect Spezza) and Isles need a defense to expose

Also Zona just traded Hill so they arent moving Kuemper

I didn't say either had significant trade value, just said Dermott has more. You ask any GM in the league if they'd prefer either a 29 year old defenceman who can only play in the top 4 if he's sheltered by his partner, or a 25 year old defenceman that can give you solid bottom pair minutes, play both sides, is cheaper, and still has a little bit of development left (defence develop later, even Holl didn't hit his peak until he was 26-27ish), and I guarantee you they're taking the younger option every time
