We have high hopes for the future, but we're realistic. None of this is.
There's absolutely no reason for Minnesota to trade the prospect they got for Jason Zucker, let alone for such an inadequate return. I would expect Bill Guerin to ask for Brayden Tracey or Jacob Perreault if he asked for anything (which isn't guaranteed).
There's absolutely no reason for us to trade any of those three prospects for a monkey point, or to trade Kodie Curran for a very late sixth.
Islanders protected Scott Mayfield in the expansion draft and we didn't protect Haydn Fleury, which should tell you right there that you're off on their respective values.
I know that this is one of your first efforts, so don't be discouraged and keep trying.
