only way it makes sense for OTT to trade for voracek is with 25-33% retained, take out the 2nd in the reinhart trade

if we give up 10oa for reinhart i’m not adding anything with more value than logan brown as the 2nd piece, and no more than 2 pieces. He’s perfectly adequate, he’s not a star, he’s only the 2nd best forward on the worst team in the league, he’d probably be our 4th or 5th best forward once all our guys reach their peak. Not that I want to give up 10oa anyway

I really think he can be a 40 goal scorer playing with Stutzle and someone like Voracek

I don’t think he’ll ever sniff 40, he was only a 25 goal guy max with Eichel, a top 10 centre. He was on like a 35 goal pace this year, but he was shooting 41% over his career average which he is unlikely to ever do again (you could say this was his 2017-18 William Karlsson season, who I actually think is a great comparable in general). He might be a 30 goal guy a couple more times but more likely he’s around 20-25 imo

He’s only 25 can still improve and will easily put 50+ every year

Hes an RFA without a contract, if Ottawa trades for him then he just demands a ridiculous amount because he doesnt wanna play there they get screwed. If you're giving that up for him I would make sure he has a long term contract in place before the trade goes through so you can plan appropriately

Bernard-Docker was the 3RHD in UND last year (they apparently preferred playing their seniors with no PP time and 1PK)... He's not ready for top pairing minutes in the NHL give him another year or two

JBD won best defensive defenseman in the conference in college lol, he shouldn’t be top pair next year but he will be top pair eventually.

MTL is not giving up assets for Tierney. Berg would rather use our own young players in the bottom six.

I think Ottawa is overpaying a bit on both packages but really like the ideas and the potential lineup
