Canucks easily decline. Not trading 9OA for a rental that we don’t need

Value is fine from Detroit I just don’t see why Detroit does it during this part of the rebuild. I’m sure they’d rather add a young LHD like Hughes/Edvinsson plus Bertuzzi versus 4 years of a 11M star winger that’ll probably be gone by the time they’re regularly competing.

ok, then we will take a third, doesn't matter to me, just don't want the cap, stfu "easily decline." Buddy, Bening runs that **** show, he would give a first for Kerfoot.

He is 24? How would he be gone?

This is not at all realistic considering on how set Dubas is on keeping his guys.

Bennings trades haven’t been awful recently. It’s his free agent signings that suck….

He asked for 11M+ immediately after ELC. Fair to say he’s probably going to “cash in” when he’s a UFA. I also don’t think it’s wise to invest so heavy on a winger.

It is realistic in the sense that trades make sense, the signings values also make sense. Also, the fact that the team is WAAAAY better. I know Dubas is a fukcing ****, I just like to hope. If Dubas really wanted to, he could make the leafs the best team in the league, especially cause Landeskog is interested, Dougie is from Toronto, morgan is bad, and mitch is bad, Kerfoot is worse than garland and we put the cap to better use.

how much more than 11 mill can he get in the NHL, he makes more money than players better than himself, he would price himself out of the NHL.

regardless they can take for a fourth or seventh I don't care, I just don't want morgan, I would rather have Dougie.

I can't wait for tomorrow, when we'll all find out whether Vancouver trades the ninth overall selection for (a) Sam Reinhart, or (b) Morgan Rielly. I'm guessing (c) . . .

I'd love Garland, but in what world is Marner bad? Give your head a shake guy. He is a 90 point guy. Honestly if he's traded to Detroit I'll just go follow them instead. I dont think people who think Marner is bad actually watch hockey

His agent is going to argue more than 11M that’s for sure. The team has no leverage and it appears Dubas didn’t have leverage when he had the most team control. Please name one team in the cap era with this substantial investment on a winger? The only exception is really TB this year and even then they were 18M over the ceiling and Kuch made 9.5M. Look at contracts Yzerman dished out in TB, they all took a discount. Look at Boston, they took a discount. Having Marner on the books may make it harder to get guys to buy into that philosophy and I’m sure Yzerman values having depth based on his press conferences and how he’s built teams. Obviously being top heavy hasn’t paid dividends unless they’re a franchise D or C.

You're right, mitch is not bad, he is great, but not great for this team.

What do you think he would possibly ask for, cause I don't think in four years any team will be able to sign his ass.

Hard, hard pass on the marner trade

Cizikas is not a third line c. I'd rather Kerfoot, ironically for cheaper... Note to compete the islanders acquired pageau to push cizikas to the fourth line.

Pass on the garland trade. I'm really not convinced Garland is all that much better than Kerfoot. Give kerfoot offensive time in the top 6 and pp time and he produces like a top 6 forward...

Brossoit is not good. Hard pass

Wtf is that Rielly trade???

He really needs to go back to being in charge of their drafts and nothing else. He's a good drafter. Otherwise he's between okay (trades and rfa signings) and God awful (Ufa signings)

You think Rielly and Marner are bad players and want to sign a soon to be 29 year old winger for 7 years at over 8 million. I'm thanking our lucky stars Dubas is gm and not you

I have no idea if it's a good or bad move and as a Leaf's you would know a lot better than me. I just don't think he gets traded.

Well considering SJ offered Tavares 13M on a long term deal I’d say probably looking at that or higher depending on cap ceiling.
