Description

If Nedeljkovic wanted 4 or 5 years, I could see them wanting to avoid a Scott Darling situation where you sign a goaltender for big money and term based on potential to then see the numbers fall after teams get a solid book on him, but at least sell high on him. There are really only 2 guys "available" that would make any sort of sense at all to move Ned out to make room. John Gibson and Philipp Grubauer

Warren Foegele is not mentioned on the roster because the assets that they get from trading him will not impact the 2021-22 roster.

Jake Gardiner will either be dumped or he will go to Robidas Island

Dominik Bokk can be replaced by either Seth Jarvis or Ryan Suzuki or any other young player that steals the show in training camp. Whoever wins that camp battle gets a top 9 spot. With 3MM in cap space, nearly any rental can be traded for at the deadline should this team be near the top of the division.

Counterpoint: Grubauer is more of the same and is known for having a lot of injury issues.

Unless we're getting an extended Kuemper, Gibson or Robin Lehner, I don't wanna see it. But rumor has it, they want to give the goaltending spot to Freddie Andersen.

I seriously don't get why they couldn't ****ing qualify him and send him elsewhere for more than a third and a guy you could've gotten next ****ing wednesday for free.

Waddell should be gone if we don't get Gibson or Lehner

Yep. I can’t see them going after Ullmark or one of the CBJ goalies bc what’s the difference between them and Ned. They’ve had more starts in the nhl but they’ve been largely playing on bad teams so who knows what good they actually are.

The whole thing is idiotic to me but if that’s their philosophy then there’s really only a few goalies who make sense at this point and they’re going to end up paying through the nose.

8.5 mil for goaltending? no way that happens unless its Gibson. Also there is no way Bernier takes 2 mil
