Pets, Holden and DelZotto would fill out the bottom 3 after Chabot. Mete is still out there but probably for good reason.

They are dangerously close to the floor on cap. He is a good way to get there even with retention.

2 days ago I might agree on parts of this. What are they gonna do for a goalie now?

Would have to add more retention on MAF, probably full 50% retention.

The cap floor is a non-issue.

We just sign Brady and we're back over it.

We're also pretty crowded on LD, so bringing Pettersson makes no sense.

If anything, you'll need to take out the 3rd round pick and send two seconds the other way if you want him traded to Ottawa.

if it came down to Jarry, would play Francouz over him.
There is a reason why every Pens fan is trying to desperately get rid of Jarry, last season was a disaster for him, especially in the playoffs

Fair enough but would not offer that just to gain 2 or so in cap space and a decent prospect. Thanks for the back and forth though.

I genuinely don't think he's bad, Jarry, I just think he tried to do too much considering how bad the rest of the team played especially the D.

statistically last year Jarry was one of the worst starting goalies in the league. It was a bad season

But he also backed an injury ravaged team to 1st place in the division. HIs GP didn't change much nor did his #'s.

He’s saves above expected and goals above expected were the worst in the league, the team won despite him

My initial reaction was F no, I’d just roll Frankie and JoJo out there before doing that trade.

While advanced stats are something to look at and take into consideration, they truly are not "hard" numbers especially with goalies. You cannot replace Jarry in the same game with another goalie and get "hard" numbers. Too many other factors go into the outcome of a game. They are only situational numbers. I would like to see Roy's advanced stats now considering his pention to get penalized and how that would factor into his stats. Not saying you are wrong just thinking out loud.

But you can’t ignore them either, He was bad, mediocre, below average however you want to say it but the fact stands, he’s not a quality starter, or a starter you actively go out and get. He’s not worth it

Agreed on the you can't ignore the stats. Back to what are they gonna do, ride Francouz to a Cup? Is Rask in play considering Boston's moves? COL needs to win now considering the names they either need to sign or are gonna lose in the next two years.
