I'm guessing GMJR had to pay more for them to retain 50% of Hainsey's salary. Maybe GMJR is trying to trade for another player and needs more cap space?? Who knows

Calgary 3rd rounder might be 70th overall and Pittsburg's second rounder 58th overall and there is a conditional 5th rounder for Arizona. Kristo is just a roster dump and won't see the NHL. So really the picks aren't that much different.
Nice for Hainsey to get a shot at the Cup. I'm not sure, but he hasn't really been a very good team with a legit shot and a long career.

GMJR is probably going hard for shatty now IMO, we have another 3.3 mil of cap space, Daley down with knee surgery probably out for the rest of the season.

I think it's because the Canes realized that the Pens needed Dman badly so they obviously had the upper hand in dictating the price.
