Every team declines besides for buffalo, although they really like Bjork and Kerfoot doesn't help a rebuilding team so they probably don't accept either.

Yotes aren’t sending a bunch of their picks for a year of Reilly while they’re starting a new rebuild.

Why does EVERYBODY assume Reilly is going to Walk to Freeagency?

Also Reilly can be a STUD for Arizona on the backend for years to come. I'd imagine he'd in this case re-sign for $8.750×6.

Not too dissimilar to Nurse but less so fairer value cap wise than Nurse.

Better value.

Besides, they're getting NHL ready prospects in Kimihalve and Anderson.

They'll walk away still with a Top 5/10 pick plus a TOP 2 D MAN in his PRIME for 6 years LESS than Nurse Cap Hot AND

Joey Anderson N Kimihalve will become more productive helping turn Arizona into a playoff contender more quickly.

I’m not saying the return is bad… I’m saying Arizona is one of the last teams that would trade for him due to the current state of their team. They should be acquiring assets and young talent, not trading them away.

Because without an extension in place why would a team that is essentially tanking take that risk while giving up a bunch of picks. Even if he did re-sign in this scenario by the time they’re ready to be competitive again he’s likely regressing due to his age. He has serious defensive issues and that’s not going to improve with age or on a team that is likely going to get caved in for the next 2-3 years by design.

Kimihalve and Anderson aren’t moving the needle for a rebuilding team as they’re fringe NHLers and at best bottom 6 fillers.

When EVERYBODY has this opinion and analysis, they’re probably not all idiots and are just being rationale and realistic.

I also don’t get where you’re getting this from - you’re predicting Reilly is going to sign there to a certain term and $$ with no reliable evidence for that assumption.

No they don’t. Why would Arizona give Toronto the younger player and 3 2nd rounders for the older defenseman that will most likely leave and a couple of depth/non important players. Also Arizona again gives Toronto the younger defenseman for an older one with less potential just to move up in the draft

Liljegren is worthless to use. We’re loaded on the right side and Miller has already shown to be a potential top 4 d man already. You’re dude hasn’t even made the NHL roster full time. This trade doesn’t help use at all and in fact makes our defense worse. 2 2nds isn’t gonna cut it, not to mention that we aren’t moving him.

Guys, this person is completely clueless when it comes to trades. They don’t know that the other teams have to actually accept the trade 😂. Arizona has no business trading future assets for a rental player on a rebuilding team.

TBH, Buffalo may say no if Dubas GAVE away Kerfoot and Brooks.
They could better use of the cap space and roster spots.
It is unlikely Karmanos (yes, IMO he is pulling the strings on the KA puppet) will be trading away any picks.
Bjork was most likely the reason they let Boston have Hall for a mid round second.
Asplund had a break out year and seemed to have good chemistry with Mittelstadt and Thompson.
So Buffalo would be trading away three pieces that they view as part of their future for two players which do not fit into their future.
