Price has an untradeable contract and I have accepted that and most other Habs fans have. He is retiring a hab so might have to try something else

Only interesting peice for me is Caufield and we aren't giving up all that for him

The only Weber trade that makes sense, is sending him back to Nashville so he's out of the spotlight and can focus on recovery. That way they can try to manage the situation in a way which won't impact them.

Price is not going to be traded unless he requests it. At that point the return won't matter, it would be about giving him a chance at a cup to thank him for his service, if we aren't able to achieve that for him in Montreal.

I don't know where the idea Caufield doesn't want to play for Montreal came from, but he seems satisfied with his current situation.

I also don't get Lehkonen's performance being an issue.

Calgary declines for the following reasons:
1. They don’t want to take on Weber’s contract, especially considering he’s probably gonna retire
2. They aren’t giving up Hanifin without getting a top pairing defenceman (WHO WILL PLAY) in return
3. Even though Caufield would be an amazing return for the Flames, they’d be very hesitant to give up Mangiapane, as we need him more than we’d need someone like Caufield

Then trade Caufield for Eichel one for one, see how much Caufield likes playing in the US when he’s on a team like Buffalo

Thank for all your inputs and thought, just to get some idea how Montreal improve the team year. I bet you the Habs will NOT make the playoff in this upcoming season. Sad very sad for the Habs after the Habs had the great run in the playoff this year.
