Drouin does absolutely nothing for buffalo; they're rebuilding and Drouin can't be flipped for all that much IMO

Romanov doesn't really help the sabers rebuild: they have Dahlin, Powers, and Johnson who looked good at the world juniors

IMO buffalo should be asking for a 2 top prospect and a top 15 pick for Eichel.

For the habs I really thing that a Eichel trade would have to be Suzuki and 2 1sts.

Theres no indication that he would take anything like this. I dont see any team in the east getting him with a garbage offer. I think he sticks to his guns, but if that day ever comes, eichel gets moved 3 time zones away. Theres no way adams, or more specifically pegula, is going to take a ror return and have to face him 8 times a year.

Right now, August 19, 2021, that may be the only offer for Eichel. Sabres can't trade him until his neck is taken care at and he proves himself healthy. Or this may be the best offer...

For this Arizona receives Ylönen and 2022 2nd round pick (MTL)
Buffalo receives: Romanov - LHD which Buffalo has Dahlin, Power, Hagg, Butcher, Bryson and Samuelson
Lehkonen - LW which Buffalo has Skinner, Olofsson, Bjork, Girgensons, Ruotsalainen and more
Primeau - GK which Buffalo has Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, Devon Levi and Erik Portillo
Three pieces that do absolutely nothing to advance the rebuild.
I will presume Drouin is added to counter the cap dump of Byron.
That leaves Kotkaniemi, and 2022 1st round pick (MTL) as the only pieces of value to the Sabres.
Let me counter, Buffalo offers Mittelstadt, 2022 2nd (it will be very nearly the MTL 1st), Girgensons, Brett Murray, Kyle Okposo 50% retention and Lawrence Pilut for Cole Caufield.
I would imagine nearly every MTL fan would think this is a great deal as it nearly mirrors the offer for Eichel

I could see Adams looking at all of the pieces and thinking there must be something of value there.
I think Karmanos is calling the shots now so I KNOW he would never let this happen. Neither do I, this offer is no where near the value of Jack.
