Myers is only like 2mil overpaid it doesn't make sense to trade a 1st just to move him. We also don't need Hertl especially at that price

Nothing the Sharks need is really addressed in the trade, not sure they do that. LD is already congested and they have enough meh wingers.

Yeah chances that Ottawa trades Sokolov are very low. It would require him to be a significant piece in a package for a significant young-ish player.

He's been practicing with Crosby and MacKinnon (IIRC) and apparently he looks very good as he is leaner than last season so quicker/faster. Basically the same thing that happened a few years ago with Batherson (but in Drake's case it was after his growth spurt)

Sokolov could very possibly make the team out of camp and never look back. Could also possibly be much better than Pearson was last season.
