This still isn't a real reply.

His bio says banned. I'm willing to bet money it's because he's not even 13. Ignore that troll.
With that being said, these two trades are still lopsided in favor of the Sharks. A Tomas Hertl rental trade is bringing back the same package as Sam Reinhart at best.

oh ya, if people want to argue about the merits of the trade, go ahead, its a two way street.

But I can't resist people who claim Hertl isn't a good player, and then either use totally irrelevant data or nothing at all to back up their point.

Csick is one of the more level headed regulars on capfriendly. He can read a stat line and make relevant points unlike most n here.

4. Crosby
5. Draisaitl
6. Point
7. Barkov
8. Bergeron
9. Eichel
10. Aho
11. Kopitar
12. Barzal
13. Scheifele
14. O'Reilly
15. Malkin
16. Pettersson
17. Tavares
18. Couturier
19. Zibanejad

I remember at the start of the year , the whole media was talking about Danault’s offensive pointless streak and how he wasn’t scoring any goals. Sure he’s great defensively but you can’t say he’s a 1C based off his offensive stats. His numbers are pretty close to Cirelli who isn’t a 1C

For me it's less about what Hertl could get then what Wilson would accept. Wilson's quote about the return needing to be "mind blowing" to be considered makes me think it just won't happen and he will be re signed for better or worse. Wilson and the org thinks we're still competitive, which most sharks fans don't agree with but we'll see how the year plays out.

To be a 1C your offensive stats need to be outstanding and consistently so. Cirelli and Danault are great players but they lack consistent top six offense.

I literally have no dog in the fight. The first is mainly the piece in this deal like I said. Debrusk is the kicker since his value is low and he’s expendable to Bruins. I doubt SJS cares if Haula is included but a fourth line replaceable player shouldn’t be a deal breaker for the Bruins either way

I think that’s a pretty short sighted view of Debrusk’s value. Maybe that’s what it is on the trade market, but he’s not a kicker to the bruins.

That's the price. GM Wilson said any offer for Hertl would need to be "mind-blowing" to be accepted. He's a top 30 center in this league and those do not come cheap.

Well then, he doesn’t get traded. Either walks as a UFA (likely) or re-signs. With the future the sharks have, i can’t imagine him wanting to skip the market unless the offer is absurd.

I think Debrusk comes back and plays well if given the opportunity on the Bruins or if traded somewhere else. But I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you say he’s not a part of their long term plans on other threads before so not sure which stance you’re holding? His value isn’t high right now and if the Bruins want to upgrade at 2C he’s definitely expendable. Coyle and especially Haula are going to be over slotted if they’re the 2/3Cs.

You are certainly mistaken. I have not said that. I’ve been saying all along that i find it much more likely a shortened off season/no pre season effected debrusk, rather than a 24 year old just forgetting how to play hockey. You are certainly thinking of someone else.

Perhaps I mixed you up with somebody else. On the other point I’d imagine the Bruins would be fine upgrading at 2C if the price is Debrusk and a first

If it’s long term, sure. If it’s a rental, probably not. It really seems like the bruins front office seems to think they’ll be bringing back Krejci for a playoff run

Edit: didn’t see the news today.
