Description

This leaves a ton of wiggle room (about 5 mil) for the blues next year and at the deadline in signing there RFAs/UFAs and gets
NYR out from at least half of Kreider contract which they can use the around 7 mil gained from both retention to sign fox
Good Friends Breadman and VT finally hook up to play together and the Rangers might be able to resign strome as well

I know AZ is taking on money for picks but I think the Kreider contract is too long for anyone to retain on. In years 4-6 a team could become contenders and need that money.

Isles aren't trading mayfiled unless they get a RHD back.

His contract is too good and they have a hole on LHD already, they can't have holes on both sides.

Wait ARI is retaining ~$20m on Kreider for a 2nd? Or did I misunderstand the trade?

I can’t see anybody actually retaining that much for that long unless multiple firsts are coming back.

To me it looks like the Coyotes are retaining 50% of Tarasenko’s contract and the Rangers are retaining 50% of Kreider’s contract… gross

Yeah I mean thoughts on player are honestly irrelevant. I don’t think a team can get a player while $40m are carried by two other teams. xercuses is normally pretty level headed on here so I’ll attribute this to lack of sleep or a misunderstanding until he comments lol

NYR is retianing so they make money either way

No AZ is retaining VT
While NYR is retaining on Kreider but they still get money either for fox

Ok that makes more sense. Still think at least a first is needed to retain roughly 7m over two years

We aren't selling Mayfield for futures. The defense is getting weaker and that's an awesome value contract. We would need a RHD coming back to even start discussions.
