A pattern among all Arizona's deals this offseason has been that the players they acquire are earning less than their cap hits. It would seem that money is a motivator for them still and I doubt that they would want to retain on 4 seasons worth of Dvorak's contract.

for the right asset it would and the leafs prospect pool is stacked right now. Arizona also retained on 6 seasons of OEL, not sure its much of an issue to them
