1. Marner is a top 5 winger in the league who can score 100 points, you don't trade that
2. Matthews at 5 years is a little disappointing but I wouldn't call it a failure on Dubas part, what would Lou do trade a FRANCHISE center because they couldn't agree on a deal?
3. Bruh just let Dubas have any victory, Nylander is on one of the sweetest deals in the league now
4. JT has been amazing since joining the leafs, stats don't lie, in retrospect did we need him? Maybe not but I'm glad we have him
5. Kadri traded himself and if he accepted the trade to Calgary this would not be looked on so poorly, plus if Barrie worked out Dubas would of won this trade in a landslide

1) Marner was greedy and cared about himself over the team. You don't keep those type of players in your locker room
2) Lou would sign Matthews, a star player, to either a bridge deal or 8 year term. Look at what he did with Barzal. Matthews is walking in a few years
3) Nylander contract is good. I will give him that
4) JT at $11M at the age of 34/35 is not good. Lets be real, he did not take a discount
5) Leafs would have loved to have Kadri when he put up 15+ points in his first season with the Avs during the playoffs
6) Mason Marchment > Denis Malgin
7) 2/5 first round exits is not on Dubas. The last three exits are

not to mention that the leafs basically had to move connor brown and a 1st because Lou signed two awful contracts.
