Not sure why everyone above doesnt want to do their research, but this is a good trade for both parties... Not sure which team, if either, would reject, but this is solid. Ignore those other comments just saying "No not gonna work" without expalining why, this is a case where they should be explaining why thats their opinion because this is a good trade.

I have said "this is awful" on other trades, that are actually awful lol, and i dont need to exaplin because they are actually a bad trade.

How about you enlightening us with your wisdom (not your spelling) and EXPLAINING to everyone your opinion on why this is a good trade.

debrusk is literally a top 6 forward who had a bad year last year, he is still 24 and has Tkachuk-like upside (not saying he is Tkachuk, but thats what he could be), he is not worth a middle 1st, but a late 1st, but he certainly isnt worth less YET... Lets see how this year goes, and then he will either fall or jump up. But for now, he is factually still worth a late 1st

DeBrusk is who he is. He will never be Keith or Brady Tkachuk but for the sake of not arguing I will accept that he is still worth a late first. That still does not make it a good trade for San Jose. They want a first round pick NOT a fifth year forward trending downward. They want a top prospect NOT a third year defenseman who has yet to play himself out of the AHL. Based on the first two pieces the second round pick is rather moot. That is my explanation of why San Jose would reject this trade. As a Bruins fan I would be all for it but it takes two to tango!
