biggest sellers at deadline

Description
Calling it rn, Anaheim will be having a fire sale this trade deadline. 4 of their 5 best players are pending UFAs. Here's how they dismantle their once promising 2015 core to look to the future:
Trades
1.
ANA
  1. Benson, Tyler
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
The Oilers are one more forward depth away from getting past the 2nd round. Tyler Benson was never given a fair shot, may he have better luck in ANA
2.
ANA
  1. Clifton, Connor
  2. DeBrusk, Jake
  3. 2023 2nd round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
finally getting rid of DeBrusk to get a RD that fits the Boston mold, and it seems any time these teams trade it ages like milk. (Ritchie and Kase trades). Third time's a charm?
3.
ANA
  1. Alexeyev, Alexander
  2. Kempný, Michal
  3. 2022 1st round pick (WSH)
Additional Details:
Lindholm is the most valuable trade piece the Ducks have. If they don't end up getting a first round pick, then at least should get a prospect projected to be top 2 d-man. Kempny is brought in simply to get WSH below the cap.
WSH
  1. Lindholm, Hampus ($2,602,778 retained)
4.
ANA
  1. Hunt, Daemon
  2. Rask, Victor
  3. 2022 5th round pick (SJS)
Additional Details:
I see a lot of Henrique trades so why not. Mainly to OTT but it doesn't make sense since they're taking the same approach as ANA and building from within. If Henrique can bounce back, he'll be a nice 2C or 3C for MIN and their center is meh.
MIN
  1. Henrique, Adam ($1,000,000 retained)

If they are flopping at trade deadline, I could see Getzlaf waiving his no move for the right team. Getzlaf half retained to a champsionship potential team could net a decent return. Big, vet, centre, cheap contract at half retained or double retained. Could be another foligno type of scenario.

That’s what he said last year as well, will go if he or Murray thinks it would help the future of the Ducks

too steep for Washington .... basically giving up 2 1st round picks for a rental... would rather pay far less and get Dunn

Apologies then, what would you give up for Lindholm yourself?

Trade deadline is tough to predict accepting or declining deals soooo much can change between now and then. As things stand today I think that oilers trade looks fair I personally don’t like it but giving benson half a year to show what he can do is the deciding factor.

There's a lot of scenarios that could play out before the deadline!! If DeBrusk ends up having a productive season on the third line then I imagine he would stay! If Wagner, Kuhlman, Forbert, Haula, Nosek or Foligno don't move the needle then they possibly become trade bait! Either way, Manson wouldn't be the target. Lindholm for sure (with the hopes of an extension) and possibly Getzlaf for a cup run if he waives his NMC (and if 2C is still a sore spot with Hertl, Monahan, Trocheck and Barkov being unavailable).

how good is Tobias Geisser? Idk about Johansen but now that I think about it, the Caps want to make room for Alexeyev and Fehervary so I doubt they wanna lose Alexeyev.

Alt trade: Tobias Geisser, Michal Kempny, and 2022 1st conditional (1st if Lindholm re-signs w/WSH, 2nd if WSH makes past second round and Lindholm does NOT re-sign, 3rd if other cases) for Hampus Lindholm?

depending on how young the ducks want their D core to be Nardella is pretty high end. LucaJo is still pretty good but hes been hurt way to much for any team to really want him

4 of the 5 best players are UFA's? News to me. Fowler, Comtois, Terry, Zegras, Lindholm (+Gibson but he's a Goalie). The only UFA is Lindholm...

Yeah it's debatable who the best players on ANA are but they definitely should make Comtois-Zegras-Terry their top line. They could easily break out and have individually great seasons.

Manson is definitely not top 5 anymore and Rakell not really imo. I hope that's the top line next season and it sounds like it will be. It seems Eakins also wants to give Terry and Getzlaf another look although I don't really understand why because they weren't that good. Two passers. No one who can shoot really well. And Comtois should definitely play with Zegras.
