I have my questions about whether or not seguin would waive to go back to boston, but the bigger issue is that I can’t see boston touching that.
A lot of the people that shipped seguin out are still in the front office. Yes, chiarelli is gone, but Neely had just as much to do with that decision. Yes, there were major off ice issues, but there were on ice issues as well. They didn’t like his style of play, and that was when he had 6 years at 5.5 left. Now he’s got six years left, at an overpaid 9.85, has shown some signs of regression, and those major concerns about playoff performance have not gone away.
It would be reasonable to ask if boston would want seguin. Asking if they would want him for their number 2 d man, a 1st, and a 2nd, is a non starter.
