The good old, what if my UFA signings took less money ACGM. There’s no guarantee anyone of them stay at that AAV.

This is all well and good until Foxs new contract kicks in. He's gonna likely be around Makar number wise, then you have to sign Laff and Kakko, think it's better long term to stay away from Eichle

in my perfect dream reality, Fox takes a hometown discount and signs for 8x8. Kakko signs for 3x3 bridge. MIka signs for 7.25x5. Everyone is happy. Also neither kreider nemeth or trouba has a nmc or ntc so they can be moved

What players have taken a TRULY hometown discount like that? The Fox one might not be too far off, but Mika will likely get more in the open market.

Bergeron, Pastrnak, and Marchand are all paid WELL below market value.
Any one of them should be in the $8,000,000 range

I will be the Sabre contrarian, I would make that trade.
Unfortunately, I would have made that trade before trading away Reinhart and Ristolainen.
Strome and Buchnevich would have been great additions to center and RW with R and R if the Sabres wanted to compete, this year they will make the Sabres too good to guarantee a top 3 pick.
When I saw the Buchnevich trade before the draft, I was certain there was an Eichel trade to follow.
With Blaise I thought Chytil could be made available so the deal would be Strome, Chytil, Georgiev, 2021 first and second round picks.
Then the Sabres could flip Strome for more assets and build with the five picks in the first two rounds of last year.

@SuckMyKakko yes he does, every Eichel trade unless it is something that everyone else agrees is a great over pay.

Not everything, Rangers fans just offer $hit trades and dont take criticism so they continue to put out the same $hit trades that address 0 needs for Buffalo.

Thats not true at all, @ me next time too. Youre going to trade your franchise center for an overrated Center, that walks in a year, a 26 year old RFA Winger that would have signed a shorter deal in Buffalo than ST.L because he is in his prime while the team is rebuilding, a league average backup goalie while they are tanking and have a younger, better goalie theyre already trying to graduate to the NHL, and D prospect that does nothing for the franchise. Real GM of the year type move there. At least you made the NY fans happy by agreeing with them, thats how the Sabres turn the franchise around - make other fan bases happy by fleecing yourself in trades, thats worked the last 5 years...

That's because your "criticism" isn't based in reality.

The Sabres aren't going to get the value for Eichel you think they will.
