Oh I definitely would. Beauvillier had a higher GF/60 than Nylander last season despite playing with less talented linemates. Also had higher GAR and WAR.

i know right? imagine thinking a guy whose never cracked 40 points could be remotely worth Nylander, hilarious indeed.

It’s almost as if the last two years were shortened seasons 🤔. Beauvillier was just as good as Nylander last season. Higher GF/60 + GAR. EH has Beauvillier at 87 overall value and Nylander at 86 over the last 3 seasons.

ah i love it, so you use shortened seasons as an excuse for your guy not having the numbers, but then you use those same two shortened seasons because you have another set of numbers that makes your guy look better!
So no, Beauvillier doesnt have near the value nylander does because he has a 1 point higher on some GAR chart. He's barely a year younger with a career high of 39 points. Nylander has one season with less than that where he played more than 22 games.

Context matters - you just want ignore how many games there were last season to push a narrative. There are a bunch of metrics that show Beauvillier has been just as valuable. It’s not just GAR - Nylander with a lower GF/60 (the most important offensive metric) despite playing with stars. Interesting. Nylander (675 min TOI) only had 4 more points at 5v5 than Beauvillier (635 min TOI) last season. Doesn’t have near the same value though 😂

ah yes, context is important, I like the part where Nylander has scored significantly more every year despite getting similar ice time, oh and the better defensive metrics too

Nylander has a much higher QOT than Beauvillier and plays in a more offensive minded system, obviously he scores more. He does not have better defensive metrics than Beauvillier.

I like the part where Beauvillier scores higher in the most important offensive metric!

which offensive metric is that? goals per 60? cause he and Nylander had the same ones last year, and Nylander had higher the year before, crazy, that. And no, that's not the 'most important" one because the most important one is, you know, actual goals. Nylander has 48 of those over the past 2 years to Beauvillier's 33.
Nylander better and you aint gonna cherry pick your way out of that

Yeah , actual goals. Beauvillier increases the rate his team scores actual goals at a higher rate than Nylander. Based on your logic, you must think Kyle Connor is better offensively than both Marner and Nylander right?

Notice how I never said Beauvillier is better, but he has been just as valuable. That’s a fact. It’s funny how you can only use point totals to try to prove your point lol - Leafs fans want to use analytics until it doesn’t support their narrative

yes, Kyle Connor is a better goal scorer than Nylander and Marner and if we were judging by 'the most important' single stat for offence then he would be better. Weird how the best goal scorer is better at scoring goals eh?

You can score 30+ goals and still negatively impact your teams your teams rate of scoring. GF/60 is a better measure of a players offensive impact than the amount of goals a player scores.

you havent provided it, you've just stated that one players is better than the other, and GF/60 isnt the most important offensive stat, it's the most important one in RAPM charts, actual goals is more important because they are actual goals.

not true at all, you can score 30+ goals and have a negative impact on defence that negates it, that is not an impact on scoring or offence generation.

That’s not true, a player can score a lot of goals and have a negative GF/60 , like Mike hoffman
