Yeah I agree that he had a great season, but I don't see him repeating the offensive production

People sleeping on Chabot this year. I don't think he will win, but he's finally been freed from the anchor of Nikita Zaitsev. I think having a real partner capable of keeping up with him and supporting him will really allow him to take a leap this year.

Hm.

Even if Chychrun shot at his usual 7.3 % last season he'd still have tallied 12 goals and recorded a point on 20% of team points, almost led them in scoring

Possession numbers trending up and hitting prime

He seems like a perfect Norris candidate

Though on a historically bad team this season 🤕

Chychrun has a fantastic two way game and lead the national hockey league in goals by defensemen. Ya, he deserves to be one of the favorites. He’s a top ten d man in the NHL for the right reasons.

His two way game isn't fantastic. Yeah he led in goals, but it was very unsustainable and hyper random

Shooting is the most random thing among defensemem. I wouldn't be shocked to see him shoot anywhere between 5 and 20%
