Description

I get why so many wouldn't want Eichel. Not if they have to give up Krebs. The way I see it though, this is the window. If they don't make a move, then Krebs is pointless and will wind up being a trade-piece eventually anyway when Vegas is rebuilding. Might as well get Eichel to push the team past their flaws and actually succeed.

Allow Eichel to get his surgery. If all things go according to plan, and from what I have seen, he could be back by January, and returned to form by March, ready for playoffs.

That puts Vegas well over the cap once Tuch returns in December. It so doesnt help the current issue they have since Jack wont be gealthy for a while and Vegas is trying to stay afloat now

You can include Carrier in the buffalo trade. The Sabres could still have use for him.

I wouldn't mind getting Janmark for this season, sort of like when they got Namestnikov 2 years ago... IIRC a 4th then traded him at the deadline for another 4th

I made this before I saw the Dylan Gambrell trade from the sharks, but the Senators were looking for another player in their top 9. Janmark would've fit that description. In retrospect though, I should've gone for a fifth instead of a third.

That's what I am trying to figure out. If Vegas is in still, they must have some way to be cap compliant, unless they are expecting Eichel to miss the entire season until playoffs.

I dont really think they are that interested. Vegas needs to figure out how to kickstsrt their season right now, not a few months down the road. They are probably still just kicking tires just because they are Vegas
