Kubalik is underrated - I can see sakic doing this trade and signing kubalik to a 5.75 x. 4 deal

logically i kinda get it, they have three LHD that are top pair quality. their forward depth is non existent, and girard is the most expensive so he could be moved for a 2nd line forward like here, but i don't see why any trade would have to happen before byram's ELC is up.

he didn't have a great series against vegas but the biggest thing is byram is a stud and once toews comes back girard is the 3rd best ld on the team.

forward depth is fine just need another top 6 winger.

That’s such an easy no for COL. Girard’s contract and his play all season significantly out weigh a guy that’s a 2nd liner and a 2nd. Hate on him all you want for VGK, but there was plenty of blame to go around for that series.

None of that is untrue but his contract itself is a goldmine because he can play top pairing AND qb the power play unfortunately for him neither of those things are ever happening in COL with Byram and Makar.

This is like the Saad for Zadarov trade, but this one is as bad for Colorado as that trade was for Chicago.

I find a lot of people like to find ways to reject ideas, but some people are so full of themselves that they are miserable to interact with. The Ignore feature is a great way to keep this site enjoyable.

I prefer to find ways ideas could work, like a modification, because creativity is fun.

I think its so funny when so called 'authorities' on CF set the final parameters of a trade through months of comments over & over, only to see the real life GM do something way different, lol.
