Why are the pens giving up their 1st and their 2nd best prospect for a rental? We're not trading our picks or prospects at the rate we're going

I think Buffalo is looking for 2nd for Miller so that parts fine - Murray is a big man with decent hands and he has improved his skating from really really really bad to just below average but looks like a AHL lifer what is Juuso Riikola's story.

I'd take that offer as Anaheim's GM.

I mean, regardless of the value in the trade, I'd be pretty content if I were a Pens fan today... .500 team in a tight division, sitting 3 points out of a playoff spot with a game in hand, all while playing without Malkin, Crosby, Rust (After 3 games), etc.

Obviously they could fall out of it quickly, but all things considered, you're in fine shape to make a playoff run.

Idk why Buffalo is adding forward prospects they like to get less value out of a Colin Miller trade

Ill take the second for miller. Why we would be looking to trade murray for a left d, nobody would actually do that.

Breaking down the Buffalo trade, Miller for a second and Murray for Riikola,
I know it is early in the season but Miller playing his best hockey since becoming a Sabre and maybe his best ever.
Then we trading two AHL players for each other, while Riikola may have more value than Murray, IMO Buffalo would pass on this as they have many LHD options.

Now for an unprofessional unsolicited opinion.
Other than Pettersson Pittsburgh does not have many LHD options, coupled with the PP shooting blanks, it may make more sense to consider a LHD PP specialist Will Butcher.
I would love to hear your comments.
