If Bjornfot goes to Colorado as well, then I think there could be something there, as a young defenseman coming back would make trading Sam more palatable for Colorado. The trade could be balanced as necessary, depending on what the other piece or pieces are.

Just my two cents.

Doesn't make sense trading Bjornfot for Girard. The reason why LA needs Girard in the first place is because they're desperately lacking at LHD. Sending back Bjornfot defeats the purpose.

I could see LA sending a talented RHD prospect like Grans or Faber, but Bjornfot or Anderson wouldn't work.

That's fair. I just don't see Colorado moving Girard for a prospect (or largely unproven young player) unless they also plug the hole it would leave. Bjornfot is the only option I see for that.

I think it's highly unlikely Girard goes anywhere this season. Contemplating including him in an Eichel trade is one thing, but moving him for a prospect is not something a team with Cup aspirations should do.
