My thoughts exactly. I get AVS have been bruised up but Kuemper was brought in to be THAT guy and he just hasn't been

kuemper not immune from criticism but the avs have been **** in front of him. bad turnovers and odd man rushes. it's not all on kuemper.

Yes probably true but some players take less to play for a team like the Avs

EJ isn’t a cap dump
Gibson isn’t getting that return that’s a massive overpay
Some of those depth signings are just odd

Both situations there are under the influence of small sample sizes so... why not wait... imagine if all personnel decisions were based on 10 GP

Fernando Pisani GOAT playoff performer

Brian Boucher GOAT shutout goalie

IMO hertl is a 6.5-7 aav player. not the 8 mill i've seen thrown around on here. I think with the term and playing for a top contender 6.25 is deffinantly undervalued but not unrealistic.

I imagine $7.5 mil aav is the right amount, wouldn’t pay more than that. He has said he would take a little less to play for a contender

I really diagree. I think ANA knows they've had a great start to the season but they're not a top 10 team in the league. Especially since next season/at the TDL they'll loose manson and Lindholm (or be stupid to resign them)

They were willing to move him last offseason. He's been great to start the season so his value won't get any higher. Especially for girard, a 1st and a prospect.

Hertl as a UFA could possibly be a Zibanejad comp, no?

Regardless, with the current contracts, the following season, they have $24 mil to sign a Byram, Mackinnon, and like 8 other players…that money could disappear pretttttttty quickly…

Go look at the recent talk with Gibson and the team. He said he’s willing to stay through the rebuild and wants to be a leader during it.

They aren’t moving him.

Whoa - haven't heard the name "Fernando Pisani" is quite some time; had to really search the memory banks on that one, LOL. Totally correct about the small sample size thing.

Not to be contrary but people say a lot of stuff; he may not want to move and they may not want to move him but they are in a rebuild and need assets. Also, things change. If the right offer comes along, whether it's this year or further down the road, it's not an impossibility for him to be moved.

Dude. He literally stated to the team and the public he does not want to leave Anaheim any time soon.. it’s not that hard to understand that they aren’t moving him lol
