Acquiring Pysyk is a bad idea. Florida had him playing RW and Buffalo has him on the third pairing. He's not a top-4 defenseman.

That's a LOT of value to give up for a rental who likely won't be re-signed. Holland is trying to build a perennial contender, not a flash in the pan.

He’s really solid. He will be a nice addition to a playoff team at the deadline.

I'm not here to dump on Tyson Barrie, because he's not bad, but there's a near zero percent shot that the Ducks have interest there. Drysdale/Shatty are already offensive d-men, and a healthy Manson mops up the D-zone starts.

He plays in the first pair with Dahlin and their metrics looks solid.

Pysyk would be a fine add to the bottom pair if Edmonton needed an additional RHD. His is probably the name I'd have signed over Ceci. If Edmonton moves on from Barrie next summer and the organization wants someone to pair with Broberg, Pysyk would be a good add then.

Pysyk is actually on our top paring with Dahlin and he has consistently been our most reliable D-man, he's very smart and doesn't make stupid mistakes.

IDK what ur talking about

I've been watching him for years. He's not a top-4 option for a playoff team.

He has played 160 minutes with Hagg and 55 with Dahlin. You do the math.

Besides, Dahlin seems to mostly be taking on the opposition's 2nd lines: NST

Well he looked good with Hagg and now with Dahlin. What's the 2nd line? Dahlin played the most players on average. Now mainly Dahlin - Pysyk and Bryson - Miller, our two pairs, which play about the same time.
