Highly unlikely Edmonton makes that trade, considering Grubauer's contract and the team's cap situation. Also can't make conditions on players re-signing anymore.

Grubauer's contract is too rich and long. Edmonton would want a guy like Driedger who can platoon with Skinner in the future.

At this point, Oilers would need retention on the Grabauer contract which is a lot to ask given it’s term.
So don’t see how he could be dealt

Remove the 1st and retain 50% and maybe Edmonton considers... but only if Mike Smith isn't playing any more which is highly unlikely.

Driedger has been BRUTAL, and Grubauer nearly as bad. Neither is worth anywhere near Koskinen + 1st.

That whole team is atrocious, i don't even consider the goaltender statistics valid. Obviously edmonton doesnt want a goalie who plays that bad but someone his age and pay structure that plays well is what they would be looking for.

Seattle has been playing very well defensively, one of the best in the NHL at limiting shots and scoring chances. They're being torpedoed by their goaltending. I'd stay far away.

Islanders would never even entertain this. They need a 2nd pair D that can play there for a while. And they arent going to trade clutterbuck, especially for another 40 year old
