    crazy how all these players on one of the worst teams in the league are worth 1st rounders+. No team but the oilers even consider that and that's just because Holland isnt good at his job

    So we are now giving Allen away for free. The market has been rising on D men over the last year and a half. Look at the contracts given out over the summer. Chiarot easily gets that late 1st + 3rd from the Oil on his own. IDC what the Oil fans say, the market was set last TDL with Savard. 1st and a 3rd is the cost for a rental top 4 defensive D man everyday all day and twice on Sunday.

    This is not reconstruction. The non Hab teams can't a afford the cap, and just send back picks. Habs aren't getting cap space and high picks in this fantasy.
    And even at this, this roster is not even close to being cap compliant

    You would need to attach at least one first to Byron if you want to trade him and Wideman as cap dumps and get a 5th in return. It also wouldn't be Winnipeg as they don't have the cap space.
