I'm a big fan of Nichuskin so I wouldn't mind this for the Leafs. Making Francouz' cap work would be difficult so they'd probably want something else but he'd probably get picked up on waivers so it shouldn't be an issue.

Colorado easily declines both trades

So three 1sts for a 34 year old Price (who hasn't even played this year) and Nichushkin plus for Kerfoot? This is really bad for Colorado.

What makes Price trade hard is MTL wont retain period, not with this term
That said people have to over compensate when they do retain salary to try and get people to buy in

Reality is there is 2 problems
1.Price has 100% NMC and anywhere he goes his wife business has to be able to set up shop there(Seattle.New York and Vegas really are the only markets to offer that)
2. A over payed player has to come back in return

BUF for example could hypothetically work but outside that Seattle i think is the only team in that position
They could upgrade on Grubauer as he's struggling outside a Tandem as a clear cut starter
BUF makes as Skinner is playing decent again but no where near his 9m cap hit
BUF offers Price the option to keep his place in MTL and travel or his wife work out of NY and travel from BUF to NYR City as needed.

Issue is BUF even with Price isnt a playoff team
That said Jack Quinn and Peyton Krebs in the AHL at 1point to a point and a half a game
They're the Center pieces BUF needs to become a unit with Cozens Girgensons to support their Dcore which is pretty good and their wingers are pretty solid to
But there's atleast a year gap that will be needed for those 2 to fill Eichels shoe's

That said i still think BUF would take Price's full cap hit which is what we'll need to move him otherwise we're better off keeping him here
He'll continue to break records and sell jerseys at the very least

montreal fans, we do not want Price, avs have 0 interst in that player or contract and that kerfoot trade is awful. they dont want that player back and wouldnt trade Nuke efor Kerfoot+ for him

We have no interest in Price.
