The Radulov contract is for this year only, Gallagher's is for the next 5. Dude, you make a terrible GM

This is the same Dallas team that signed a 31 year old Radulov to a 5 year contract. The same Dallas team that signed a 34 year old Pavelski to a 3 year contract. They are in win now mode, their window is closing with a few years, they aren’t going to care that his contract runs until he’s 34. Actually almost no team will care about that. It’s only fans like you that think every player is over the hill the second they turn 30. It’s a flawed viewpoint.

That part doesn't matter.......The Habs need space to retool. The value of Radulov is that his contract expires this year and expedites the process.

GO back to your NHL22

I think what you’re not understanding is that Dallas would WANT Gallagher. They would actually want him as crazy as that sounds to someone as dense as you. The Radulov being included is so that the Stars would have enough cap space this year to make it work. Use your brain. The Stars have enough cap space moving forward with and I repeat once again Pavelski and Radulov’s contracts off the books after this season.

Who said anything about age??? You're the one who brought that up. They already have Benn and Seguin underperforming at high contract levels. They have Klingberg to resign. Robertson due a huge raise.....esp if you compare him to Suzuki. They don have room or a need for Gally. You can't just look at age and this year. Teams need to plan for the future

Hey look at that, a respectable argument finally! That is a fair argument, I disagree however because I have looked at their cap and I believe they could make it work and would want to make it work, but hey that is a respectable argument.

But the issue is that was not your original argument which created this debate. Your argument was that the Habs would have to give up assets to move Gallagher because he would need to be a cap dump. But in reality he is a very valuable forward that multiple teams would want to get their hands on.

And ps you came on to an entirely different trade idea I made trashing me with another person. That was petty, so was I petty back? Of course lol.

I want you to go back and look at that first trade. I made a post and comment on my opinion. You came out guns blazing. You made no valid argument, just demanded I see your point as gospel truth. And you did the same thing in the post with @FuelYourJets . I have no problem debating, but when you won't listen to reasoning from anyone and just continue to badger with "I'm right and you're wrong" you're not gonna get anywhere

Your reasoning was that the Habs would need to trade a pick and a prospect in order to move Gallagher because he would need to be a cap dump. That is what you said stop trying to run away from that fact. Stop trying to spin in. I quoted you word for word.

So of course when you say something as idiotic as that I am going to treat you a certain way. Had your argument had anything to do with Dallas’ cap space instead then we could’ve had a respectful convo.

A number of reasons why this doesn't make sense for the Jets.

1. Jets have very few right handed players in general, 5 of their top 8 D are left handed shots. Demelos Right handedness is needed.

2. Jets PK is a much bigger issue than their PP, Demelo helps with that while Hoffman doesn't.

3. Jets in general had an absurdly low shooting percentage over the last while (before the jersey game), when the team is just unlucky you don't want to make big changes.

4. Demelo is playing 15 min. A night, but he is capable of playing higher in the lineup, look at Last year's playoffs where he was top pairing with Morrissey. The demelo injury did more to hurt the Jets in the playoffs than the scheifele suspension.

5. Jets have a number of offensive defensemen (with more on the way in Hienola/Samberg/Chisholm but not a lot of defense first guys. Kovacevic may eventually take that spot but he's not ready yet.

6. Jets have enough offense first wingers in Connor, Ehlers, Wheeler that they don't need another one.

7. If Jets were to acquire a forward, it would need to be a right shot. Only ones on the roster are Schiefele, Wheeler, Nash. Especially for a powerplay specialist they need a right hand shot for the one timer option.

8. Svechnikov is not an AHLer. He does not belong in most teams top6, but he has shown great flashes of chemistry when playing with Dubois. Playing a lower level player in your top 6 with someone they have good chemistry with is a good way to spread out the wealth between more lines and be a deeper team.

You'll find that the OP is a troll. Common sense, reasoning and logic have no place in his world.
