Eklund, Dahlén, Stützle, Norris, Bordeleau, Wiesblatt, Meier, Hertl and Labanc would of been a crazy good, young core of forwards for sure.

I'd imagine they use that money for defence because without Karlsson its pretty thin.

right, but it's not as bad as it looks. Ferraro and Simek aren't bad and then Demelo is alright. Definitely not a strong suit tho

Ferraro is one of the best young defensive minded D men in the game, looks just like a young MEV! Simek sucks but Knyzhov will be back soon and Middleton is playing well, we have Merkley but we would be thin at RD

Also Pavelski, Braun, and Goodrow would probably still be here.

And sharks wouldn't have Stutzle.

Btw Sogaard is only partial as the Sens also used a 3rd round pick to move up and draft Sogaard 37th OA

Everyone always forgets Merilainen

And Ostapchuk it seems... Sharks 2nd round pick in 2021 (if Karlsson re-signs IIRC)

What's funny is that if the Sens didn't have the worst NHL GM, they could have Dahlen and Balcers with them instead of in San Jose.

Probably also can resign pavs. And jumbo probably never leaves. Way stronger leadership to help Kane. This forward core is legendary. And with some more cap to help a aging burns/Braun/Dillon/Vlasic
