HI Guys, tomorrow I will shut down for the day for trading and start working solely on ideas for the expansion, Entry draft, UFA, etc, to propose to rangersfan so that we can get all the kinks out and have the rules set up so they are easily visible and as simple as possible for all to understand. I think we all agree that expansion and inactive GM's will need to be dealt with ASAP if the date for expansion remains the same.

I think everyone should have a protection list posted in their team thread now, and they can modify it as needed if they make further moves, up until we freeze rosters for Vegas' UFA/Expansion.
We can unfreeze the rosters once Vegas is done with his selections, so we can give him 7-10 days, but if it only takes 4 or 5, we can unlock them earlier.
Again, it all depends on his UFA period and how we manage that, so decisions are necessary.
not trying to be mean but in my opinion that wasn't enough for Ceci when he went to TBL from DET in this game.
I'd disagree. I think Ceci is overrated personally. He's a fancy stats nightmare for one. Bad enough that he has a negative impact on Phaneuf's numbers, if you can believe that.
How much of that is a symptom of playing for Ottawa is up in the air, and he did show early promise, but I think his development plateaued rather early.
If you put stock in Ceci now, you're basically hoping he has another developmental leap and is somewhat of a late bloomer that needs more experience to improve.

It helps that Ceci still has a few years until his prime years. Also I dumped Killorns 6 yr 4.7 mil contract in the deal make more space in the future for Point's and Kuch's future contracts.

Were fine for expansion. Vegas just picks a player from each time that's not exempt or protected and follows the NHL's guide lines for what he has to take.

It's fine. I don't rate Chara as well. He can't skate that well IMO. He seems a bit sluggish

Inactive GMs are also going to be an issue. They only have a few days to prepare for expansion right now as it is.
If they are going to be replaced, we need to do it quickly enough to give a new GM time to get their roster ready.
Could we possibly assign assistants or co-GMs to inactive teams? That way the GM isn't getting "fired", but we don't end up with a team caught unprepared.
I know you are reluctant to replace anybody, but the clock is ticking.

OK that's fine you'll only need to come on to accept or decline rule changes that have been proposed and such. Just a yes or no to each rule and that is all that is needed. All I will be doing essentially is taking all the rules you made so far in the game and putting them into one "Master thread". From there, I and other GM's will post some ideas for changes that we want you to decide on. Once again, all you need to do for each of the changes or modifications is say yes or no to each one. Once they are either accepted by you or declined. I will update each rule as we go and save it.

Hey rico, I think one of the problems one here is that we have too many threads, discussing the same things over and over again. Hence why I would like to take on the duty of compiling all the ideas we have, setting them up nice and neat in one place where rangersfan can vote on each one without getting mixed up.
As of right now the rules that are in place are the ones he's set up from the beginning. I suggest you give me some easy to understand ideas for all the concerns you may have and as I said, I will compile all the data and present rangersfan with it.
