This seems very hard to do since everyone will be able to see everyone's bids. To me it should be a silent auction and highest bidder wins.
What do you mean?
Well if we are bidding on UFA's there seems to be no way to do it without exposing your bid. So realistically, everyone's bid should be confidential and the player goes to the highest bidder. 1 bid allowed so put your best foot forward.
Yeah I think so. I know you were interested is Fast too so would those two and a pick (not sure what round let me know what would make it work) work for Jake dotchin?

Go to the other thread in the same section. I posted the deal.

1 bid allowed? we're making a rule where you have to bid at least 25K higher than the previous bid until you get into the millions when you must bid at least 250K higher than the last one.

But in real life, another GM never knows what the players current best offer is.

We've already decided that we're doing it that way. I was trying to figure out if anyone likes the idea of me just picking the length of the contracts.

I think others should have a say in it because you think Crosby is #3 in the world. So you picking the contracts and whatnot is

Well then, as for length of contract, each teams needs are different. For example, I usually re-sign Mason to a 3 year deal because I know Carter Hart will likely be ready by then but another team may want a 5 year deal because they currently have no viable G prospects.
